The following list of topics is not necessarily a complete list of what will be on the test (I don’t think, I haven’t made it up yet). But looking up these subjects should lead you to a review of everything you need to know.

The plays - Antigone and Comedy of Errors - know who wrote them and when and have a basic working knowledge of the plot and characters, and how they reflect the theatre of their time period.  Also, remind yourself of the productions of Comedy of Errors and Memory of Water. There will be questions about production choices.

What are the functions of art?  These are in the book and we discussed them in class.  You don’t have to be able to attach a name to any of the theories except Goethe.

We’ve mentioned quite a few of the people that create theatre.  Be able to name a bunch of those positions (some of these are listed in Chapter 16).
